Government Apology Over Incorrect Immigration Figures

The Government were forced into an embarrasing apology after it dramatically revised the number of overseas nationals taking up jobs in this country since 1997 from 800,000 to 1.1 million.

Councils Say Immigration Figures 'Are False'

Councils are so concerned that the government's official figures are failing to record the true number of migrants in their area that they are conducting their own polling to gauge the scale of the influx and the strain on existing local infrastructure.
